How does April learn my content?
You upload files (PDFs, documents), crawl your website or sitemap, add text snippets, or create Q&A pairs. April indexes everything using Google Gemini's AI and uses it to answer questions with source citations.
What AI model does April use?
April is powered by Google Gemini 2.5 Flash and Pro models. You can choose your model and adjust the temperature (creativity level) from the Playground settings.
How do I add the chatbot to my website?
Just copy a single line of code from the Deploy page and paste it into your website's HTML. It works with any website — WordPress, Shopify, Wix, custom sites, or any platform that allows custom scripts.
What languages does April support?
April supports 25+ languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, and more. You can also enable auto-detect to let the chatbot respond in whatever language your visitor uses.
Can I customize the look of the chat widget?
Yes. You can customize the colors, title, welcome message, suggested questions, position (left or right), language, and even remove the "Powered by April" branding — all from the Deploy page.
Does April capture leads?
Yes. You can enable a lead capture form that asks visitors for their email (and optionally their name) before they start chatting. All leads are viewable on the Leads page and can be exported as CSV.
Can I see what my customers are asking?
Absolutely. The Chat Logs page shows every conversation with full message history. The Analytics dashboard gives you 30-day trends on conversations, messages, and customer satisfaction (CSAT) scores.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Starter plan is completely free and lets you create a chatbot, add sources, and start chatting. Paid plans (Pro at $19.99/mo and Enterprise at $29.99/mo) unlock higher limits and team features.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel anytime from your account settings. There are no contracts or cancellation fees.
Can I use April for my team or agency?
Yes. April supports team accounts with role-based access. Create a team workspace, invite members, and manage multiple chatbots together. The Enterprise plan is designed for teams.
